KICA Board Information

KICA's seven-person board of directors sets policy and provides supervision. The member directors are elected for three-year terms by the membership at the annual meeting, which is normally held in March. Kiawah Partners (KP), the master developer, appoints the sole developer director annually.

Upon the new appointment, the budget for the upcoming year, based on incoming assessments, is made available. All members are encouraged to attend the annual meetings whenever possible. Advance notice is given so that out-of-state members can plan their schedules.

Board meetings are held on Mondays at 2 p.m. (with member comments sessions held 15 minutes prior to meeting start time for topics on the agenda, and for 15 minutes after meeting adjournment on other topics germane to KICA) at the Sandcastle unless otherwise noted.All dates, times and locations are subject to change. Association members are welcome to attend board meetings via teleconference. Before the day of the session, please contact Carrie Newbern (843-768-9194, Carrie.Newbern@kica.us) to let us know you will attend, so that admin can dial to start the conference.
