Regimes
On Kiawah Island, there are 31 regimes. These regimes are made up of 286 homes, 371 cottages and 1,075 villas. Interests of these regime members are advanced through the Regime Executive Council (REC).
Regime Executive Council (REC)
The Regime Executive Council (REC), formed in 2009, offers association members owning property in regimes a forum to research, investigate, and discuss matters of common interest.
In 2011, REC members and committees undertook investigation of numerous items including: new technologies and materials available for use in construction and support of regime properties; reserve requirements; mortgage financing; and regulation of rental guests. The committees not only investigated these important concerns, they implemented measures designed to improve the quality of regime residency and ownership.
